About The Position

As part of the talented Freedom Boat Club HR Team, this role serves as the primary HR Partner for the Greater Boston & Cape Cod Team. The HR Business Partner will support operations, sales, and boat maintenance teams across more than 20 locations along the Massachusetts coast, partnering closely with the General Manager and other leaders to provide proactive HR support. Freedom Boat Club, a division of Brunswick Corporation, is the world’s largest members-only boat club, founded in 1989. With over 400 locations, the club offers a "Boating Made Simple" experience, handling fueling, cleaning, and maintenance for its members. The company is committed to innovation and seeks hardworking, motivated individuals passionate about marine recreation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
  • 5-7 years of relevant HR experience.
  • Experience supporting an hourly workforce.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must handle confidential and sensitive material appropriately and with discretion.

  • Experience supporting a seasonal business and workforce.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate change and successfully execute change management.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Workday.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the overall business goals.
  • Act as a mediator and provide solutions for employee issues, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
  • Facilitate HR initiatives such as performance management, compensation planning, talent review and benefits open enrollment.
  • Partner effectively with HR specialist groups such as Payroll, Compensation and Benefits and Talent Acquisition.
  • Support organizational change initiatives by advising leaders and managing the impact on employees.
  • Ensure HR policies and practices comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Provide excellent employee support while answering requests and questions.
  • Monitor and analyze HR metrics to inform decision-making and improve HR processes.
  • Execute changes within Workday, the HRIS system.
  • Participate in the creation and maintenance of HR forms, documents and employee files.
  • Coordinate with HR counterparts across the enterprise to ensure alignment and completion of activities.
