About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated HRBP to be onsite at our manufacturing plants, providing hands-on support to employees and management. This role is integral in ensuring a positive workplace environment, maintaining compliance with HR policies, and addressing employee relations within the plant. The HRBP will work closely with plant leadership to support day-to-day HR operations, focusing on employee relations, performance management, compliance, and training initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for plant employees, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Promote positive employee relations by maintaining an open-door policy and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints, disciplinary actions, and grievances, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.
  • Support plant managers in the implementation of performance management processes, including coaching, feedback, and performance improvement plans.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs tailored to the needs of plant employees, focusing on skill enhancement and productivity improvement.
  • Partner with plant leadership to identify and address performance challenges, ensuring alignment with company standards and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations as they pertain to the manufacturing environment.
  • Maintain and enforce HR policies and procedures within the plant, regularly reviewing and updating them to reflect changes in legislation or company practices.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure HR practices are compliant with legal requirements and company standards.
  • Collaborate with the safety team to support and enforce health and safety policies, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Participate in safety meetings and contribute to the development of safety programs and initiatives.
  • Assist in managing workers’ compensation claims and coordinate return-to-work programs.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation for plant employees, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Prepare and present regular HR reports to plant management, including metrics on employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
