The HR Business Partner supports approximately 500 employees in a union & non-unionized facility. This “hands-on” position requires significant interaction and visibility to all levels of the organization, departments, and all shifts. The role involves acting with supervisors/management to institute work system improvements that positively impact business profitability and employee engagement, and helping the facility build a reliability culture. Key areas of focus include Leadership Development, Engagement, and Diversity, where the HRBP will educate, coach, and counsel the organization on job performance, employee development, and diversity to build effective work teams. The position also involves recruiting hourly and salary employees, educating and coaching supervisors/management on company policies, work rules, and applicable regulations to ensure fair and consistent HR practices and compliance. Additionally, the HRBP will promote and participate in communication strategies to deliver timely information on business issues and employee concerns, research and introduce HR best practices and leading-edge technology, and champion the IP Change Process (IPCP) to drive a reliability culture. The role also includes investigating and mediating employee disputes and resolving interpersonal conflicts.
