About The Position

Human Resources Business Manager Reis-Nichols Jewelers | Indianapolis, IN Join One of Indiana's Best Places to Work Reis-Nichols Jewelers is a family-owned luxury retailer dedicated to creating exceptional customer experiences through integrity, respect, and outstanding service. With over 85 associates across two locations, we are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Manager to lead all HR functions and serve as a trusted partner to our leadership team. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Sales and is ideal for a hands-on HR professional who can balance strategic initiatives with daily HR operations. Experience working as an HR department of one is strongly preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Human Services, or related field.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification.
  • 3–5+ years of HR leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, and employment law.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Extensive experience with Paycor HRIS and Paycor Recruiting.
  • Previous experience as an HR department of one.
  • Retail, luxury retail, or customer-focused industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for all positions.
  • Develop sourcing and hiring strategies to attract top talent.
  • Manage onboarding and new hire orientation programs.
  • Serve as the primary administrator for Paycor HRIS and Paycor Recruiting.
  • Manage employee data, reporting, workflows, onboarding, and system optimization.
  • Utilize HR metrics and analytics to support workforce planning and business decisions.
  • Provide coaching and support to leaders and associates.
  • Foster employee engagement and a positive workplace culture.
  • Address employee relations matters and performance management initiatives.
  • Administer benefits, leave programs, workers' compensation, and unemployment claims.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
  • Coordinate training and development programs with leadership team.
  • Support succession planning and performance review processes.
  • Partner with leadership on organizational goals and workforce planning.

Benefits

  • Base salary starts at $90,000 based on experience plus annual bonus incentive.
