About The Position

Under direct supervision of the HR Manager, performs complex office management duties and implements established procedures in the following areas: medical insurance (including vision and dental), life insurances, retirement plan, workers compensation insurance and any other benefits offered by Dakota Sioux Casino & Hotel. Create program and monthly reports. Assist with employee files, trainings, orientation and all employee activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in benefits and/or related clerical and administrative duties.
  • Working knowledge of company benefits, policies and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, written and oral.
  • Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and use of equipment.
  • Must obtain non-gaming license upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administers various employee benefit programs.
  • Coordinates personnel procedures to initiate the benefits.
  • Implements new benefit programs; arranges and conducts employee information presentations and enrollments.
  • Verifies the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all insurance policies and maintains statistical data relative to premiums, claims, and costs. Resolves administrative problems with the carrier representatives.
  • Maintains files of all benefit plans, reports, and forms.
  • Adheres to a strict confidentiality oath.
  • Provides administrative and clerical support in the HR Department.
  • Plans and coordinates various employee events and activities such as the employee appreciation events, years of service dinners and other motivational activities.
  • Create and/or update personnel files and assists with employee orientation and trainings.
  • Prepares and maintains government reports, enrollment reports and IRS documents.
  • Perform and certify employee drug tests.
  • Performs other duties as necessary and assigned.
