What does a PT HR Assistant do? As a Human Resources Assistant, you will play a crucial role in executing the administrative needs of our HR Department, ensuring effective employee engagement and recruitment across multiple locations. Your responsibilities will include maintaining personnel files, both onsite and electronically, while keeping our HR network up-to-date. You will assist in scheduling meetings and events, help facilitate health insurance enrollments, and manage payroll processes. Engaging with employees through site walks and conducting Stay Interviews are essential parts of your role, as you gather valuable feedback to enhance workplace culture. To thrive as a Human Resources Assistant at VAL-CO, you will need a combination of education and experience, requiring a high school diploma along with two years of HR administrative experience or an associate's degree in HR or a related field. Proficiency in HRIS and time and attendance software is essential, as is your competency with Microsoft Office applications. You should possess the ability to self-start and work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. Excellent customer service skills and a strong attention to detail are crucial to ensure tasks are completed with a high degree of accuracy. Additionally, strong written and oral communication skills will assist you in effectively engaging with employees and enhancing internal communication.
