We are seeking a detail-oriented HR Assistant to provide HR operations support for a continuing care retirement community of approximately 1000 team members. Requirements

  • Previous experience in HR preferred
  • Must have excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, flexibility, and be able to multi-task
  • Must have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Please note that specific state regulations and requirements may be applicable. These regulations take precedence over the requirements outlined in the job description.

Responsibilities

  • Assist employees with walk-in requests including HR systems support (Workday/UKG), payroll updates, direct deposit, benefits-related items, and employee programs
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire packet review, employment verifications, badge deactivation, and reporting
  • Prepare and manage weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and annual HR reports (birthdays, anniversaries, training compliance, performance reviews, terminations, visa tracking, and audits)
  • Assist with I-9 compliance, visa documentation, and employment verifications
  • Conduct timecard audits and maintain HR documentation and electronic personnel records
  • Support employee recognition programs, service awards, engagement events, and the annual awards program
  • Process invoices, vendor setup, supply orders, petty cash, and employee-related reimbursements
  • Maintain HR systems, staff directory, internal communication platforms, and compliance postings
  • Provide general administrative support and assist with special projects as assigned
