About The Position

Supporting Human Resources, the HR Analyst (Co-op Student) will support the administration and facilitation of various HR programs across the organization. Preference will go to a student in a cooperative education program, or a recent graduate.

Requirements

  • Working towards Post-Secondary Education in Human Resources.
  • Knowledge of and prior work experience with HCM/HRIS systems is an asset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Resourceful, self-starter, proactive, result-oriented and a team player.
  • Proven commitment to upholding confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion when managing sensitive employee and business information.
  • Highly proficient computer skills, including, but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the following HR functions: Recruitment, Payroll, Accounts Payable, HRIS, Internal Communications and Records Maintenance.
  • Support the full recruitment and hiring process.
  • Support the onboarding of new hires.
  • Support the performance review development process.
  • Ongoing administration of bi-weekly payroll and assistance with year-end process.
  • Prepare HR communications including the monthly HR Update and announcements.
  • Prepare invoices and process them in the Accounts Payable software.
  • Monthly turnover and headcount reporting.
  • Ongoing review and development of HR Intranet content.
  • Ongoing administration of ergonomic assessments and Employee Assistance Program.
  • Maintenance of Organizational Charts.
  • Respond to enquiries from employees, management and external agencies.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to employees and management on HR policies and programs.
  • Support ongoing review and development of HR policies, guidelines, and content including hardcopy, electronic, as well as documentation posted on the company’s intranet.
  • Provide back-up support for HR functions as required.
  • HR reporting and administration as required.
