About The Position
The Human Resources (HR) Advisor serves as a trusted resource to the organization by providing strategic guidance and hands-on support on specific areas of expertise as assigned (e.g., talent management, total rewards, learning and organizational development, etc.). Assignments may vary in scope and duration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience required
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience required
- Unrestricted, valid NYS driver’s license for minimum of 1 year with a clean driving record and minimum insurance coverage that meets agency standards.
- Deep understanding of HR topical area – as assigned.
- Strong interpersonal and coaching skills with the ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently with high level of judgement, minimal supervision; ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing needs.
- Availability to respond to assignments with flexibility, including onsite presence depending on business need.
Responsibilities
- Provide consultative support and practical HR guidance – as assigned.
- Implement HR projects and initiatives – as assigned.
- Develop HR tools, templates, and processes based on observed needs and best practices – as assigned.
