About The Position

This position is within the Human Resources department and involves a variety of administrative and coordination tasks. The role requires a strong understanding of HR laws and regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters. The HR Administrative Coordinator will play a key role in enforcing company policies, supporting associates and leadership, and contributing to a positive workplace culture. This is an acting position, and the responsibilities may evolve.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Associate Relations or other HR position as a primary role
  • Ability to quickly learn the companies HRIS system
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of federal and state HR regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical and organization skills
  • Proven experience leading and motivating teams
  • Basic understanding of leave of absences (FMLA, STD, etc.)
  • Highly proficient with computer skills including all Microsoft Office programs
  • Must be flexible to work different hours as needed by the department/business

Nice To Haves

  • BA in Human Resources or related field desired.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Lead Associate investigations for company policy enforcement and to investigate Associate behaviors that do not align with Company core values.
  • Ensure compliance with HR laws and regulations.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of the organization.
  • Assist Associates with resolving time-sensitive confidential matters.
  • Facilitate Front Line Leadership and Associate trainings.
  • Support and serve as a role model for MEI’s KPI’s of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale and Environment.
  • Demonstrate timely, informed decisions by utilizing Gemba practices and data analytics.
  • Schedule, coordinate and facilitate department Associate Engagement activities.
  • Maintain accurate and complete personnel files.
  • Maintain a customer service focus, ensuring and protecting our customer’s best interest.
  • Support business plan goals; develop and monitor tasks to ensure goals are achieved.
  • Develop strong business partnerships with HR team, Production Leadership teams, and Associates.
  • Proactively identify gaps and inefficiencies in policies and processes to recommend continuous improvement initiatives to foster an Associate-friendly workplace culture.
  • Guide leaders and Associates regarding Company policies, core values, and HR programs to ensure fair and consistent treatment for all Associates.
  • Monthly/Weekly reporting and presentations of SQCDME.
  • Resourcefully manage simultaneous projects with conflicting priorities.
  • Maintains highest level of confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Demonstrate and serve as a role model for Respect for the Individual.
  • Maintain professional and consistent Open Communication with all levels of the organization.
  • Able to lead project teams and present information to management.
  • Assist with recruitment activities, including onboarding and orientation.
  • Support Corporate Governance initiatives.
  • Participate in Benefit activities.
  • Support Corporate Services programs.
  • Other Duties as assigned by Leadership.
