About The Position

To support our growth, we’re looking for an HR Admin responsible for supporting our HR Partners in the Bay Area. Reporting to your assigned HR Partner, you will assist with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties. As the HR Admin, you will carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: department development, HRIS, employee relations, training and development, compensation and benefits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent preferred but not required; high school diploma required.
  • Two years experience working as a Human Resources Coordinator preferred with the retail or hospitality industry.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication and time management.
  • Ability to work well with all levels of staff.
  • Strong organizational, problem –solving and analytical skills.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and workflow.
  • Ability to change directions quickly and to thrive in a fast paced environment.
  • Able to speak clearly and listen attentively to staff, peers, supervisors, guests and client.
  • Has a computer skill with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Must process strong administrative skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear concise manner.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the administration of the human resources policies, procedures and practices in accordance with stated corporate objectives and federal and state legal requirements.
  • Processes all new hires and enter their information in the HR system.
  • Updates all employees information in the HR systems (position change, new address, pay increase, etc.)
  • Ensures that personnel files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains and order supplies for the Department.
  • Performs general clerical duties including but not limited to filing, photocopying, faxing and mailing.
  • Be the liaison between the Department of leave of absence and Managers/employees.
  • Assists in resolving payroll issues.
  • Coordinates with Compass the implementation of garnishments for employees.
  • Assist in the administration of unemployment and disability claims.
  • Ensures that employee terminations are properly processed and communicated to all needed facets of the organization such as payroll.
  • Assists with the New Hire Orientation.
