About The Position

Chromalloy is a global engineering & solutions company. We are a leading provider of aftermarket parts, repairs, and solutions that safely & reliably extend the life of aircraft engines and gas turbines. We develop, manufacture and repair critical turbine components for a range of engine platforms. Our solutions support the engines running the aerospace, energy and defense industries around the world. We're looking for an Inspector B to help ensure the quality and airworthiness of critical aerospace engine components. In this role, you'll perform visual, dimensional, and non-destructive inspections on turbine blades and vanes throughout the manufacturing and repair process. Using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment, you'll verify products meet engineering specifications, identify discrepancies, and support the delivery of high-quality parts in a fast-paced production environment. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Proven ability to accurately perform measurements and inspections.
  • Previous experience with visual and dimensional inspection.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to communicate inspection findings and discrepancies effectively.
  • Ability to meet NAS-410 visual acuity requirements (corrective lenses permitted).
  • Due to government regulation only US persons (U.S. citizen, U.S. naturalized citizen, U.S. permanent resident, holder of U.S. approved political asylee or refugee status) may be considered for this role.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or quality inspection environments.
  • Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
  • Familiarity with inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, comparators, and other measuring devices.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, documentation requirements, and continuous improvement practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of turbine blades, vanes, and other aerospace components.
  • Use precision measuring and test equipment including calipers, micrometers, comparators, rulers, and meters to verify products meet specifications.
  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections on a variety of part types.
  • Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections, including airflow, surface finish, Magnetoscope, and core inspections.
  • Identify, document, and communicate product, process, and documentation discrepancies.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and inspection standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
