About The Position

The Staff Resident Pharmacist is a post pharmacy school graduate (often in the first 2 years) who participates in an organized training program to perform as a licensed practitioner while training under the supervision of a preceptor. This role involves moderately complex to complex work assignments where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The Staff Resident Pharmacist gains knowledge and experience to develop clinical judgment and decision-making skills necessary to become a successful independent licensed/certified pharmacist. The resident will begin to influence department strategy, make decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approaches for project components, and perform work without direct supervision, exercising considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Active Intern License with the Board of Pharmacy in the appropriate state
  • Previous managed care work activity or experience
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to stay on schedule
  • Ability to work independently and navigate within a changing environment
  • Strong verbal and written presentation skills
  • Ability to take initiative, ability to manage multiple or competing priorities, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office application, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
