The HPLC Scientist - Team Lead will be responsible for running routine assays and developing novel separation and identification assays. This role involves the separation, characterization, and identification of proteins and antibodies using techniques such as HPLC, cIEF, BioA/GX, and other analytical methods. A key aspect of the position is developing HPLC & UPLC based chromatography methods, including size exclusion, affinity, normal-phase, reverse phase, ion exchange, and hydrophobic interaction, utilizing DAD and FLD detectors.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Chemistry or related sciences or equivalent along with relative experience (preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries). Will substitute relevant work experience in lieu of degree requirement
  • Three years of HPLC experience
  • HPLC and UPLC method development experience
  • Experience running routine assays and developing novel separation and identification assays
  • Experience and thorough understanding of HPLC and UPLC based chromatography (including size exclusion, affinity, normal-phase, reverse phase, ion exchange, and hydrophobic interaction utilizing DAD, FLD detectors)
  • Strong organizational, communication, collaboration, comprehension and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
