About The Position

Our client is seeking a Software Engineer to develop and maintain system management infrastructure software and services for High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems. You'll be part of a team responsible for creating solutions in a Linux environment, using a variety of modern programming and scripting languages. The role involves designing, developing, and deploying software, troubleshooting and debugging operational issues, and contributing to the overall quality and security of the system. You will also recommend new technologies and processes to improve the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with five (5) years of experience, OR a Bachelor's degree with seven (7) years of experience, OR nine (9) years of experience as a Software Engineer.
  • Experience using the Linux CLI and proficiency in Bash/Python scripting.
  • Experience developing software solutions using languages like Python and Rust in a Linux environment.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, PodMan, and containerd.
  • Experience with automation frameworks like Ansible.
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging issues in an operational system.
  • Experience with CI/CD principles and tools like GitLab CI and Jenkins.
  • Experience with Git for source code management.
  • TS/SCI with FS Polygraph clearance is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Datacenter Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools, Observability and Analytics platforms (e.g., Splunk), IAM solutions, and Secret Management tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies is desired.
