Requirements

7+ years of progressive experience as a Health Physics or Industrial Hygiene Technician or HPT or IHT Supervisor (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
2+ years of experience at a uranium facility (enrichment, fuel fabrication, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to perform all HP-IH Technician task qualifications and maintain them within six months of assignment
Successful completion of Health Physics Academic Training, equivalent accredited continuing training (e.g., INPO), Industrial Hygiene training, or NRRPT registration
Experience supervising teams in regulated nuclear or high-hazard environments
Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” Clearance
Ability to work in the United States
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
Ability to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance
Ability to pass a drug test prior to an offer of employment
Ability to participate in a random drug testing program
Ability to participate in drug testing in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol
Ability to undergo a background investigation by the Federal government
Ability to undergo subsequent Federal government reinvestigations

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and supervise Health Physics-Industrial Hygiene Technicians, ensuring safe, compliant, and effective monitoring of radiation and industrial hygiene conditions across the site.
Plan and oversee workplace surveys, analyze environmental data, and recommend corrective actions when hazards are detected.
Guide experiment planning, equipment selection, and data evaluation to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Develop operating procedures, conduct investigations, and provide technical guidance to management—all while upholding Centrus’s culture of safety and excellence.
