Our firm focuses on the operations and maintenance of transportation and public works infrastructure assets, employing professional engineers, certified quality control inspectors, and experienced maintenance technicians. We are currently seeking a full-time HOV Highway Maintenance Technician for the Night Shift to perform maintenance operations in the Arlington, Texas area, based in Grand Prairie, TX. This role involves a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, including debris removal, sign and guardrail repair, and concrete repair, while adhering to all applicable regulations and company policies.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of related experience
Must have a valid Driver's License
Roadway maintenance experience
Concrete forming/repair experience
High School Diploma/GED
Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
Carry out simple arithmetic functions
Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
Ability to use smart phone and applications
Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
Must pass criminal background check

Nice To Haves

Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, Fork Lift, Asphalt Roller, etc operator
MOT Certifications (traffic control)
Clean driving record is essential
CDL License a plus
Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance operations in the Arlington, Texas area.
Perform a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, debris removal, sign and guardrail repair, concrete repair, etc.
Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.
Operate hand/power tools.
Work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions.
Lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly while twisting; perform other strenuous manual labor as required.
Be available to work weekends if needed.
Be able to work during snow and ice removal events.
