About The Position

The Housing Technician is an entry-level position that supports the delivery of residential energy efficiency and weatherization programs. Under the supervision of Energy Auditors and program leadership, the Housing Technician assists with energy audits, home evaluations, inspections, and site visits while gaining hands-on experience in building science and energy conservation practices. This position serves as a training pathway toward becoming a certified Energy Auditor. Housing Technicians are expected to pursue required Building Performance Institute (BPI) certifications and develop the skills necessary to independently conduct residential energy audits and support program implementation.
