About The Position

Join Fidelity Manufacturing during an exciting period of growth! As we open our new Texas plant, we are seeking a Housing Supervisor to establish and lead our Housing department. This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing leader who enjoys building teams, developing employees, improving processes, and helping create a culture centered on safety, quality, accountability, and operational excellence. The Housing Supervisor will play a critical role in overseeing the assembly of precision aluminum housings and related products while supporting production schedules, quality standards, and employee development. As one of the key leaders within our Texas operation, this position will help establish departmental processes, develop talent, and build the foundation for future growth. The Housing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Housing department, leading a team responsible for the assembly and manufacture of precision aluminum housings and related products. This position ensures production activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong manufacturing leadership skills, experience managing assembly operations, and the ability to develop employees while maintaining focus on safety, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement. This role requires a balance of hands-on floor leadership and operational management to drive performance and support business objectives. As the Texas facility continues to expand, the Housing Supervisor will play a key role in developing team members, implementing standardized processes, improving departmental performance, and building a high-performing manufacturing team.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing, assembly, or production experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Experience using measuring devices, hand tools, and production equipment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively coach, train, and develop employees.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Background check and pre-employment drug screening required.

  • Experience leading assembly operations or manufacturing teams.
  • Experience in metal fabrication, enclosure assembly, or industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Continuous Improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise Housing department personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and productive operations.
  • Manage daily production activities and ensure work is completed according to schedule, quality requirements, and customer expectations.
  • Coordinate staffing, workload assignments, and production priorities to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Plan and organize workflow to support production schedules and downstream operational requirements.
  • Monitor production progress and proactively address barriers that impact performance.
  • Communicate daily production status, priorities, challenges, and opportunities to plant leadership.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of production requirements to anticipate labor, material, equipment, and process constraints.
  • Support achievement of production goals and operational objectives.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop Assembly Technicians and department personnel.
  • Provide technical training and guidance related to assembly procedures, manufacturing processes, quality expectations, and safe work practices.
  • Establish and communicate clear expectations regarding safety, quality, attendance, productivity, and teamwork.
  • Support onboarding, cross-training, and employee development initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify future leaders and support career development opportunities within the organization.
  • Conduct performance coaching and provide constructive feedback to employees.
  • Ensure products are assembled according to engineering drawings, technical specifications, work instructions, and quality standards.
  • Verify proper assembly methods, workmanship standards, and product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Monitor quality performance and address defects, rework, and process concerns.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Packaging, and Operations teams to resolve technical and production issues.
  • Ensure employees properly utilize tools, equipment, measuring devices, and assembly techniques.
  • Support implementation of best practices and process improvements throughout the department.
  • Maintain accurate production and operational records as required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow, productivity, quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of standardized work instructions and operating procedures.
  • Utilize production metrics and departmental performance data to drive improvements.
  • Help establish department standards and best practices for the Texas facility.
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the department.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and established safety procedures.
  • Conduct routine safety observations and address unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and safe operation of tools and equipment.
  • Support safety training initiatives, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment.
  • Support compliance with company quality standards and operational requirements.
