About The Position

Chestnut Health Systems™ is a leading provider of integrated health care services. Since 1973, Chestnut has grown to more than 800 committed, compassionate employees providing substance use, mental health, and primary care treatment to patients in Illinois and Missouri. We provide fully integrated care for all our patients by combining behavioral health care services with our community-based primary care health centers. Chestnut also conducts research and training throughout the U.S.A. The successful candidate will work Monday through Friday from 3:00pm to 11:30pm. This full-time position will be based at our housing site in Collinsville, IL. The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $19.00 - $20.00 an hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent and five years of supervised mental health experience.
Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, education, psychology, or a related human service field is required.
Individuals with a bachelor’s degree in any other field must have at least 2 years of supervised clinical experience in a mental health setting.
Demonstrated skills in human services and in services to adults.
Demonstrated ability to work within organizational structure; to accept supervision; and to work constructively with consumers, treatment resources, and the community.
Basic computer skills including MS Word and an electronic medical record.
Valid driver’s license, private auto insurance, and be insurable.

Responsibilities

Provide support in the environments where clients feel most comfortable—whether that’s in their own homes or out in the community.
Using the IM-CANS assessment tool, help clients design a personalized roadmap for their recovery based on their specific goals and needs.
Act as a guide and advocate, offering case management, teaching daily living skills, and helping clients manage and understand their medications.
Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions using proven, science-backed methods (Evidence-Based Practices) to help clients build a more independent life.
Handle the "behind-the-scenes" details, such as pre-authorizing and re-authorizing services to ensure care remains uninterrupted.
