About The Position

Responsible for providing supportive services for those housing, assessing clients’ needs and qualifications for multiple programs, and developing a treatment plan for their goals. Meets with clients in their homes, in the community, or the office for training and skill development. Assists with any application that is related to housing to find, acquire, and maintain stable housing.

Requirements

Minimum of associate's degree in psychology, social work, or related field.
Two years experience in working with a targeted population-low income adults and families with severe mental illness.
Spanish-speaking individuals are strongly encouraged to apply.
Regular and consistent attendance for the assigned work schedule is essential.

Responsibilities

Provides supportive services for housing.
Assesses clients’ needs and qualifications for multiple programs.
Develops treatment plans for client goals/needs.
Meets with clients in the community to assist with housing-related activities such as Social Security, Food Stamps, HUD, rent assistance, and issues with landlord/other tenants.
Teaches clients communication, resume, coping skills, problem-solving, interview, and computer skills in the community or the office.
Teaches clients “good tenant skills” in the community or the office.
Meets with staff and community stakeholders to educate them on programs and client qualifications.
Responsible for adhering to billing and reporting standards for multiple housing grants.
Conducts monthly home visits for housing clients.
Communicates with staff and coworkers about clients’ needs.
Attends monthly/quarterly housing program conference calls.
Attends yearly training for housing programs.
Maintains HIPAA and client confidentiality at all times.
Performs other duties as assigned.
