Housing Specialist
About The Position
Liberty Healthcare Corporation is hiring for multiple Housing Specialist positions to support the California Conditional Release Program. This program serves formerly incarcerated adults transitioning into the community, with a focus on community safety and supporting clients to live healthy and productive lives. The program's objectives include preventing recidivism, transitioning clients from treatment to the community, securing housing and support, and proactively addressing client needs. As a Housing Searcher, you will identify appropriate community housing for clients, playing a key role in promoting community safety and helping individuals overcome obstacles from past incarceration and hospitalization.
Requirements
- Experience successfully procuring housing for justice-involved individuals and/or people with mental illness
- California residency
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a case manager, social worker, housing coordinator, supports coordinator, parole officer or similar role
Responsibilities
- Researching rental housing markets
- Creating lists of viable housing options for program clients
- Evaluating housing options for alignment with client conditions of release
- Developing relationships with landlords and property managers
- Collaborating with Liberty’s Housing Coordinator, Regional Coordinators and Case Workers
