About The Position

Housing Solutions Tulsa is seeking a Full-Time Housing Navigator for Alternative Courts. This role is crucial for supporting participants in alternative courts and diversion programs, as well as case managers and justice navigators, in their search for housing assistance. The Housing Navigator will work with justice-involved individuals in Tulsa who face housing barriers, assess their housing needs in collaboration with JusticeLink resource navigators, and serve as a primary housing contact at the Tulsa County Alternative Courts. Responsibilities include providing in-court navigation assistance, connecting clients to resources, assisting with JusticeLink intakes, updating housing assessments in the HMIS system, participating in coordinated entry and case conferencing, and supporting data reporting efforts. This position is part of a mission-driven team focused on making a significant difference for justice-involved individuals in Tulsa.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in handling interactions professionally and tactfully with justice-involved Tulsans, JusticeLink staff, and community partners.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and neutrally with individuals from diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, including those with disabilities and non-native English speakers.
  • Strong sensitivity to the needs of systemically disadvantaged populations.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the capacity to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Critical thinking skills for navigating complex systems and advocating for clients.
  • Familiarity with standard software tools, particularly the Microsoft Office suite.
  • A GED or high school diploma is required.
  • A valid driver’s license and auto insurance are essential.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Relevant experience in housing or criminal justice is preferred.
  • Experience in affordable or supportive housing is preferred.
  • Experience working with justice-involved individuals and/or peer-related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a housing contact at the Tulsa County Alternative Courts.
