About The Position

Purpose of Job: The role is responsible for overseeing temporary worker housing (camps) for Black Box, focusing on logistics, safety, food, housing, and morale for remote field staff, a demanding role needing strong ops, hospitality, and leadership skills, especially in the data center sector where these camps support large projects Primary Roles & Responsibilities Housing Planning & Operations Plan and manage short-term and long-term housing arrangements for mobile data center technicians across multiple locations. Coordinate housing logistics in line with project schedules, technician rotations, and surge requirements. Ensure timely onboarding and offboarding of housing for incoming and departing technicians. Vendor & Property Management Identify, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with housing providers, hotels, serviced apartments, and property managers. Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure service quality, availability, and competitive pricing. Monitor vendor performance and resolve housing-related issues promptly. Cost Management & Compliance Manage housing budgets and track expenses against approved limits. Ensure housing arrangements comply with company policies, local regulations, and safety standards. Identify opportunities to optimize costs while maintaining technician comfort and productivity. Technician Experience & Support Act as the primary point of contact for technicians regarding housing-related needs, issues, and escalations. Ensure housing meets company standards for safety, cleanliness, proximity to data center sites, and amenities. Address and resolve housing concerns quickly to minimize operational disruption. Coordination & Reporting Collaborate with Workforce Planning, HR, Facilities, Finance, and Operations teams to align housing with staffing plans. Maintain accurate records of housing assignments, occupancy, contracts, and costs. Prepare regular reports on housing utilization, spend, risks, and improvement opportunities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in housing management, facilities, workforce logistics, hospitality, or large-scale accommodation planning.
  • Experience supporting mobile or rotational workforces in industries such as data centers, construction, energy, or telecom is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience managing multiple vendors and housing sites simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Requires travel to data center locations and housing sites.
  • On-call support may be required to address urgent housing issues.
