As a Housing Locator at EDEN, you will start each day by reviewing client cases and identifying immediate needs related to housing assistance. You'll engage with clients through phone calls and virtual meetings, guiding them through the complexities of rental assistance programs including Section 8 and HUD options. Daily tasks will include researching affordable housing listings, coordinating with landlords, and conducting follow-ups to ensure clients are making progress. Your schedule will primarily run Monday through Friday, allowing you to maintain a work-life balance while providing essential support to the community. Expect to spend time entering case notes and updating client records in our management system to ensure accurate tracking of progress and needs. Collaboration is key; you will meet regularly with team members to share insights and solutions, enhancing the overall effectiveness of our housing assistance efforts. Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of experience in homeless and housing services
  • A valid Ohio driver's license with 4 points or less and proof of insurance
  • A reliable personal vehicle for transportation to be utilized for work purposes

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Certification in Housing Quality Standards (HQS) is preferred (once hired the employee is required to complete and pass certification requirements).
