About The Position

The Housing/Employment Specialist is a key member of the WAY Fair Futures Program, responsible for coordinating and supporting all housing and employment‑related activities for youth across Family Foster Care. This position provides specialized administrative, logistical, and programmatic support to ensure that youth receive timely and accurate assistance with employment preparation, job placement, and housing‑related processes. Working in close collaboration with Caseworkers, Coaches, and other program staff, the Specialist maintains comprehensive documentation, tracks all housing and employment records, and ensures compliance with agency, ACS, and Fair Futures standards. The role also manages communication with external partners, oversees the organization of all related documentation, and serves as a liaison between Children’s Village, ACS, and community stakeholders. Through strong coordination and attention to detail, the Housing/Employment Specialist helps ensure that youth have access to the resources, opportunities, and supports needed to achieve long‑term stability and independence.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree and 3 years direct social service experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field and two years full time experience OR Master’s degree.
  • Basic Computer skill.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to work evening and weekend time.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Independent Living and Housing Training preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License with ability to drive up to a 12 passenger vans strongly preferred.
