About The Position

Oversees custodial operations within campus housing facilities, ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and maintenance standards are upheld. Responsibilities include supervising custodial staff, scheduling tasks, and conducting inspections to maintain a safe and inviting environment for residents. Coordinates with maintenance teams to address repairs, manage inventory, and enforce safety protocols. Additionally, they may assist with general maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work. Strong leadership, organizational skills, and a commitment to quality service are essential for success in this role, ensuring the comfort and well-being of campus residents.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or any combination of education and/or experience in construction or custodial work totaling 4-years.
  • Know the State, County and ADA codes.
  • Know the policies of Snow College.
  • Ability to communicate e?ectively both in writing and orally
  • Ability to life 50 pounds easily
  • Ability to work from heights and climb ladders
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relation with supervisors, fellow workers and students

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Custodial Staff: Oversee the daily activities of custodial personnel, including assigning tasks, providing training, and ensuring work quality.
  • Facility Maintenance: Coordinate and perform general maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical repairs, painting, and carpentry to maintain housing facilities.
  • Cleaning Operations: Ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met throughout housing areas, including common areas, bathrooms, and living spaces.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and maintenance materials, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff, conducting regular inspections and addressing hazards promptly.
  • Resident Support: Respond to resident maintenance requests, address concerns, and help as needed to maintain a positive living experience.
  • Team Leadership: Lead by example, foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, and motivate custodial and maintenance staff to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Performs routine manual labor associated with daily cleanup of the Suites at Academy Square and all other On Campus Residence Halls.
  • Supervise student workers and summer cleaning crew
  • Performs general custodial and maintenance duties as needed, including but not limited to, cleaning restrooms, kitchens and laundry rooms, cleaning carpets, furniture, waxing ?oors, and snow removal.
  • Communicates on a daily basis with the Supervisors (Campus Custodial Manager & Housing Maintenance Manager)
  • Coordinate with, and take direction from, Office of Residence Life Staff
