About The Position

Position Summary: The Victim-Focused child welfare Intensive Care Coordinator is a key member of the GO TEAM®, a trauma-informed crisis response program that partners with first responders and child welfare professionals to support children and families impacted by violence, neglect, and housing instability. This role provides immediate crisis intervention and ongoing case management, with a strong focus on housing navigation, stabilization, and homelessness prevention. The Victim-Focused child welfare Intensive Care Coordinator works collaboratively with DCYF Child Protective Services staff, as well as the GO TEAM® Clinician, to support families at risk of child removal due to unsafe or unstable living conditions, helping them secure and maintain safe, affordable housing while addressing trauma- and victim-related needs. This position provides housing information, referrals, advocacy, and support in obtaining and maintaining safe and stable housing and ensuring wrap-around services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Possession of valid drivers’ license, reliable transportation and proof of current automobile insurance required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing housing support services within Rhode Island preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • FSRI values staff with bilingual language capacity and familiarity with the local community they will be serving.
