Episcopal Community Services is launching a Flexible Housing Subsidy Pool (FHSP) program. New to San Francisco, FHSP is an exciting permanent housing intervention focusing on rehousing SIP guests in private market units. Under the direction of the Housing Coordination and Retention Manager, the Housing Coordination and Retention Specialist assists clients with finding housing that meets their preferences, helps complete applications, and supports them as they integrate into their new housing. The Housing Coordination and Retention Specialist will work with partners providing housing focused case management and ECS Behavioral Health Clinician II Support clients in viewing units and completing applications for units that meet the clients preferences. Provide education on being a respectful neighbor and responsible tenant to clients in order to promote stabilization and successful tenancy. Identify tenant behaviors that may jeopardize their housing and intervene when necessary to accomplish successful tenancy. Coach tenants on relationships with landlords and/or other tenants. Advocate for the client and assist with the resolution of disputes. Respond to housing and tenant-related emergencies during normal business Advocate and link tenants to eviction-prevention resources around the community. Conduct visits in the clients home to no habitability issues. Ensure clients have basic life skills including but not limited to home care skills. Provide practical life skills training on site as needed. Keep accurate records and charts, enter required data in CaseWorthy and ONE System. Provide professional, accessible, and culturally relevant support, advocacy, information, and referrals to program participants. Work within and promote the integrated services team model in an environment dedicated to harm reduction, recovery, and wellness. Provide referral services as needed
