This role supports cooperative housing operations and plays a key role in ensuring stable, person-centered housing experiences for residents while maintaining efficient program operations.

Requirements

  • 1+ years previous work or volunteer experience supporting adults with disabilities or in housing, social services, or administrative roles
  • Previous experience in professional settings and work environments
  • Associate degree or working towards completion
  • Valid California Driver’s License/ID
  • Proof of negative TB test results
  • Verification of occupational physical clearance
  • Pass a criminal fingerprint clearance
  • 18 years of age or job permit clearance
  • Physical stamina to perform administrative and coordination tasks and engage in occasional on-site housing support
  • Ability to travel locally as needed
  • Lift up to 25 lbs. as needed

Responsibilities

  • Provide responsive, person-centered support to residents in cooperative housing by addressing day-to-day housing needs, questions, and concerns.
  • Foster a supportive living environment that promotes independence, stability, and community integration.
  • Guide prospective residents through the housing application and intake process.
  • Communicate program requirements clearly, support informed decision-making, and ensure equitable access to housing opportunities.
  • Support consistent and effective housing operations by managing rent tracking, monitoring occupancy and vacancies, and maintaining accurate housing data.
  • Ensure follow-through on key processes to promote program stability.
  • Work closely with internal teams including Facilities, Finance, and Programs to coordinate housing operations, resolve issues, and support resident needs.
  • Facilitate timely resolution of maintenance issues by triaging requests, coordinating with Facilities, and ensuring clear communication with residents throughout the process.
  • Uphold Fair Housing, ADA, and HCBS principles in all aspects of housing services.
  • Promote equitable, inclusive practices that respect the rights and dignity of all residents and applicants.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential records.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with residents, applicants, staff, and external partners.
