About The Position

The Housewide RN Nursing Supervisor is a licensed registered nurse (RN) accountable for leading, managing & advancing people, processes & / or programs that support direct or indirect patient care. The NL promotes & advocates for patients, nurses / colleagues & the practice of nursing as defined by clinical area(s) of expertise & assignment. This is a frontline, department-based, direct or indirect healthcare department / program role. The supervisor formally / informally supervises daily & / or house functions of charge nurses, professional & frontline staff (multidisciplinary team) of assigned department. They may or may not have direct report relationships and may be accountable for staff coordination, scheduling & assignment or throughput. The supervisor contributes to the daily performance, daily adherence to regulatory requirements & drives results of team within assigned department and implements departmental plans & priorities identified by accountable nurse leaders. Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment.
• Valid driver’s license where required by assignment.

Nice To Haves

• Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Formally / informally supervises daily & / or house functions of charge nurses, professional & frontline staff (multidisciplinary team) of assigned department
• May or may not have direct report relationships
• May be accountable for the staff coordination, scheduling & assignment or throughput
• May participate in & contributes to the performance management / review process
• Contributes to the daily performance, daily adherence to regulatory requirements & drives results of team within assigned department
• Implements departmental plans & priorities identified by accountable nurse leaders.
