The Houseperson is responsible for responding promptly to guest requests and those from other departments. This role involves identifying and reporting maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms, posting caution signs, and contacting departments for urgent repairs. The Houseperson will also deliver guest requests, set up furniture in guest rooms, and remove items from hallways such as debris, room service trays, newspapers, soiled linens, and trash. Additionally, they are responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and storing cleaning equipment. The role requires adherence to all company policies, safety and security procedures, and completing safety training. It also involves maintaining a clean and professional appearance, ensuring confidentiality, and providing excellent guest service according to company standards, including assisting individuals with disabilities. The Houseperson must communicate clearly and professionally, support team goals, and meet quality expectations. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and move objects up to 55 pounds without assistance and over 55 pounds with assistance, push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart, reach overhead and below the knees, and perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. They must also be able to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, ascend and descend ladders, and stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods. The Houseperson will perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
