About The Position

We are hiring a Houseperson to assist in our Housekeeping/Maintenance Department! This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of public areas, parking lots, parking garages, and flowerbeds. The Houseperson will also coordinate with housekeeping on heavy lifting and priority requests, oversee contract cleaning, and assist as a parking attendant when needed. A key part of the role is ensuring guest satisfaction by being attentive, answering questions, and reporting any issues or found articles. The position also includes grounds maintenance such as landscaping, garbage removal, and sweeping, as well as cleaning and maintaining grills and grilling areas. The Houseperson will report any safety or engineering issues on the grounds and contribute to team goals while upholding company standards.

Requirements

  • Ability to make rounds throughout each shift to ensure public areas/parking lot/parking garages/flowerbeds are clean and tidy, taking care to remove or replace anything out of order.
  • Ability to coordinate and help housekeeping with heavy lifting and priority requests.
  • Ability to coordinate and/or oversee contract cleaning (pressure washing) of areas.
  • Ability to work as parking attendant as needed, directing guests to appropriate parking areas.
  • Ability to use watchfulness to report missing or found articles and any sign of damage or needed repair.
  • Ability to be graciously attentive to guests, answering questions and getting additional help when it’s needed.
  • Ability to monitor property grounds to ensure a pleasant appearance which may include landscaping work, garbage removal, and/or sweeping.
  • Ability to visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects).
  • Ability to clean/maintain grills and grilling areas.
  • Ability to remove trash from hotel and parking garage grounds.
  • Ability to report any safety or Engineering issues on the grounds.
  • Ability to welcome and greet guests and anticipate and address their needs.
  • Ability to interact with colleagues and guests professionally and promptly.
  • Ability to contribute to team goals.
