About The Position

As a Houseperson at Cape Breton, you will play an essential role in supporting our housekeeping operations and ensuring an exceptional experience for every guest. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and readiness of service areas. Your work directly supports our Room Attendants and contributes to the smooth flow of daily operations. By ensuring linen, supplies, and equipment are readily available, assisting, and by keeping all areas tidy and presentable, you will help uphold Cabot Cape Breton’s high standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and guest service. You will thrive in this role if you enjoy: Maintaining Clean, Organized Spaces: Take pride in keeping guest areas, public spaces, and service zones neat, safe, and welcoming. Precision and Care: Pay close attention to detail when cleaning, restocking, and handling supplies to uphold Cabot’s high standards. Managing Time Effectively: Stay organized and complete tasks promptly while maintaining exceptional quality.

Requirements

  • Consent to a criminal background check as a condition of employment and an additional criminal background check every two years.
  • Ability to work day, evening, night, and weekend shifts.
  • Ability to perform long hours of moving around, walking, standing, bending, and crouching.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and exert up to 250 pounds of force.
  • Ability to ascend or descend stairs and ramps on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to work with and around chemicals and registered products and safely follow product labels.
  • Ability to manage timeline pressures and constraints in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to perform repetitive kneeling, stooping, pushing, pulling, bending, crouching, crawling, and twisting.
