About The Position
At Fairmont Chateau Whistler, an exceptional guest experience begins before check-in, and extends throughout every stay. As a Houseperson, the organizational support you provide to the Housekeeping team will ensure our guest rooms are well equipped and welcoming. This is a full-time, seasonal role. We are looking for candidates to start in September and December 2026, ending in May 2027. Starting Rate of Pay: $21.65 per hour. We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $28.40.
Requirements
- Must be physically fit and able to carry/move heavy loads – up to 50 pounds.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
Nice To Haves
- Previous guest service and/or Housekeeping experience is an asset.
- Previous cleaning experience is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies
- Stock linen and supply areas
- Clean and disinfect public areas such as hallways, washrooms, changing rooms, showers and elevators
- Pick up debris and empty trash containers
- Report and store lost and found items
- To respond to all Housekeeping and Royal Service calls, which includes guest deliveries and requests.
- To assist the Room Attendants in bringing them required supplies.
