About The Position

Stocks room-attendant supply and chemical caddies. Assists in the deep cleaning of guest rooms by moving furniture and cleaning specific areas. This role involves general cleaning of guest rooms, including moving furniture, edging carpets, washing inside windows, checking drapes, scrubbing bathroom floors, inspecting with a black-light, and changing shower curtains. The position also includes rotating mattresses quarterly, running daily room status reports, charting daily activities, stocking guest-supply and chemical caddies, and inspecting linen closets for excess supplies. Additionally, the houseperson collects and washes glassware, and may be required to perform duties in other areas such as lobby attendant, supply person, or runner based on business needs. Regular attendance and adherence to varying schedules reflecting business needs are essential.

Requirements

  • Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Hilton from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
  • Employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.

Responsibilities

  • General cleans guest rooms by moving furniture and cleaning areas such as edging carpets, washing inside windows, checking drapes, scrubbing bathroom floors, inspecting with a black-light, changing shower curtains, vacuuming.
  • Rotates mattresses on a quarterly basis.
  • Runs daily room status report.
  • Charts all daily activities on progress chart.
  • Stocks room attendant guest-supply caddies and chemical caddies.
  • Inspects linen closets for excess supplies. This includes removing excess supplies from room attendant carts and linen closets.
  • Collects and washes all glassware by running items in stewarding dishwasher. Return items back to linen closets.
  • Assists in other areas assigned by manager such as lobby attendant, houseperson, supply person and/or runner due to changes in weather, occupancy, scheduling.
  • Interacts with guests by providing hotel information, instructions, and directions.
  • Reports any safety concerns to manager.
  • Other duties as assigned
