About The Position
The Bayview Hotel is seeking a dependable and hardworking Houseperson to join their seasonal team. This part-time seasonal position has the potential to become a full-time seasonal role. The Houseperson will support the Housekeeping team by keeping guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces clean, stocked, and organized. Responsibilities include delivering linens and supplies, maintaining common areas, and ensuring a clean and welcoming experience for guests. Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Comfortable with physical tasks, including bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and standing or walking for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working at a fast pace while maintaining a positive attitude
- Flexible availability, including mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Nice To Haves
- Prior hotel, housekeeping, or cleaning experience is helpful, but not required
Responsibilities
- Support Housekeeping Attendants by delivering clean linens, towels, amenities, and other supplies to guest rooms and housekeeping areas
- Collect and transport dirty linens, towels, and trash to designated areas
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of hallways, stairways, public areas, and other assigned spaces
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining common areas as needed
- Keep housekeeping carts, closets, storage areas, and workspaces clean, stocked, and organized
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of housekeeping supplies and equipment
- Respond promptly to requests from the Housekeeping team and other departments
- Report maintenance, safety, or guest room concerns to the appropriate team
- Assist with moving furniture, mattresses, rollaway beds, and other items as needed
- Help ensure guest areas are clean, orderly, and ready for arrival
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Provide friendly and respectful service when interacting with guests
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operation of the property
