About The Position

The Houseperson role at Hilton Garden Inn Denver South Park Meadows Area is crucial for maintaining the hotel's standard of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This position involves ensuring all areas of the hotel are clean, well-organized, and safe for guests. The Houseperson is expected to contribute to a positive guest experience through friendly interactions and efficient service, while also supporting the overall operational goals of the hotel.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Must be able to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures.
  • Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Must have a desire to serve all guests.
  • Must be willing to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based upon the demands of the hotel.
  • Must arrive and clock in on time for every shift worked and clock out at the scheduled shift ending time, unless otherwise directed.
  • Must clock in/out for breaks at the designated time.
  • Must provide sufficient notice as directed by the supervisor when calling out for a scheduled shift.
  • Regularly required to carry out physical working demands such as stooping, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, standing for sustained periods, walking, repetitive motions, and lifting (carrying housekeeping items like linens, trash, or vacuums).

  • Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile.
  • Use guests’ names whenever possible to make them feel welcomed.
  • Contribute to great guest satisfaction scores.
  • Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and a sense of urgency.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of all hotel facilities and amenities.
  • Be aware of and support all groups and events at the hotel.
  • Understand and utilize relevant technology for the role.
  • Answer all incoming calls with friendly service using the approved greeting.
  • Keep all areas, both front and back of the house, clean and well-organized.
  • Pitch in to clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed to ensure the hotel is well-organized and safe.
  • Greet every guest happily with a smile while cleaning.
  • Ensure all operational checklists are completed accurately and at the designated times.
  • Complete handover reports accurately and on time for effective shift-to-shift communication.
  • Wear a clean, approved uniform and be well-groomed per the Team Member Handbook, with a nametag and smiling at all times.
  • Communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with Team Members.
  • Demonstrate a 'Can Do' attitude, willing to stretch beyond traditional role to meet business and guest needs.
  • Work collaboratively with all Team Members to create a welcoming environment for guests and a positive workplace.
  • Store and retrieve luggage or packages for guests in storage areas, as needed.
  • Clean and maintain guest hallways, stairwells, service areas, and ice rooms.
  • Collect trash from all exterior garbage receptacles, and pick up trash and debris from the parking lot, swimming pool area, and common grounds.
  • Monitor the placement and condition of public space furniture and report issues to management.
  • Maintain stock levels in guest floor linen closets and guest amenities.
  • Replenish amenities and supplies in assigned guestrooms.
  • Stock and maintain the housekeeping cart.
  • Collect trash and soiled linen from housekeepers and deliver to the laundry room.
