About The Position

As a Houseman, you are a part of a team that ensures guests have a wonderful experience while relaxing and enjoying their vacation at The Smoky Mountains. Together with a fun and caring team, you’ll deliver requested item(s) to guest units (coffee, linen, terry, kitchen items, etc.), correct any cleaning issues requested by the guest after housekeeping hours, assist with organizing, cleaning, and maintaining stock levels of inventory, remove trash or inventory from outside of units as needed, respond appropriately to guest requests to ensure complete guest satisfaction, maintain positive guest, owner, and associate relationships, promote teamwork and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments, ensure compliance with all Wyndham Operating Procedures, observe precautions to protect hotel and guest property, and report damage, theft, and found items to supervisors. Performs other tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Unless there is a legal requirement, experience will be accepted for the education requirement.)
  • Familiarity with cleaning products, equipment, and techniques
  • Ability to read and comprehend routine instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be people-oriented and able to work independently or with others as needed
  • A professional appearance and positive, can-do attitude
  • Ability to work well independently or with others as needed
  • Valid Drivers License
