About The Position

This position is responsible for the final breakdown of functions by cleaning rooms and returning equipment to its proper location. The Houseperson will also complete closing duties, including storing all reusable goods, locking doors, and breaking down goods. They will set up, stock, and maintain work areas, and monitor and maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas. Additionally, the Houseperson will transport dirty linen to the correct area for cleaning, separate napkins from tablecloths, and restock linen shelves with clean linens. They will maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures, and assist other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests. The role also requires adherence to all company and safety and security policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions, and completing safety training and certifications. Ensuring a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information, and protecting company assets are also key responsibilities. The Houseperson will welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Communication should be clear and professional, and support should be provided to the team to reach common goals. Adherence to quality expectations and standards is expected. The role involves reading and visually verifying information in various formats, standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects. Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are required for manipulating objects. The Houseperson must be able to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps, and perform reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping motions. Other reasonable job duties may be requested.
