About The Position

The Hilton Minneapolis/Bloomington is seeking a dedicated Houseperson to join their dynamic team. This role is crucial in preparing rooms for incoming guests, ensuring cleanliness, restocking items, and maintaining the overall tidiness of the hotel. The Hilton Minneapolis/Bloomington is a premier destination known for its contemporary style, exceptional service, and prime location near the Mall of America and the city center. The hotel offers top-tier amenities, including guestrooms, the Bloomington ChopHouse, Olive Lounge, and a Starbucks Grab & Go. As a Houseperson, you will contribute to the exclusive luxury and outstanding service that define the hotel, making guests feel at home and ensuring every stay is memorable.

Requirements

• Must be punched in, in proper uniform, and ready to work as scheduled.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, grasp, stretch, and use a vacuum and carry their equipment on a regular and extended basis.
• Must be a reliable, responsible conduit between the associates and the management.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of the housekeeping policies and procedures, room cleaning procedures, chemical usage and handling and equipment usage and handling.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of one year in a hotel housekeeping department preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote excellent guest/associate rapport by reacting promptly, efficiently, and courteously to all requests.
• Take responsibility for all chemicals and equipment assigned.
• Deliver clean linens to and from the guest floors in response to occupancy and supervisor’s requirements.
• Remove all garbage, cots, cribs and dishware from the guest floors and return to their designated locations.
• Carry out specialized cleaning projects to approved level of competency and productivity, such as carpet and upholstery cleaning, windows and ice machine cleaning etc.
• Move guest room furniture to and from guest rooms as required by the guest and supervisor.
• Support work efforts of other Housekeeping associates, as directed.
• Follow appropriate standards of conduct, hygiene, uniforms and appearance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
