About The Position
The Canadian Niagara Hotels Group of Companies is seeking Housepersons to join their team. Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, this role involves delivering linens, cots, and extra dishes to guest rooms upon request, emptying garbage and recycling from Room Attendants' carts, assisting with stocking public restrooms and cleaning public areas, responding to guest requests, and identifying and reporting maintenance issues. The role also includes removing items from hallways and transporting them to service areas, including debris, food & beverage trays, newspapers, soiled linens, and trash.
Requirements
- Must be able to work full-time (40 hours), all weekdays, weekends and holidays.
- Stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 40 pounds without assistance
- Ability to work independently
Responsibilities
- Delivering linens, cots, extra dishes etc. to guest rooms upon request
- Emptying garbage and recycling from Room Attendants' carts as required
- Assisting with stocking public restrooms and cleaning public areas as required
- Responding to all guest requests.
- Identifying and reporting preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas and guest rooms
- Removing items from hallways and transporting to service areas, including debris, food & beverage trays, newspapers, soiled linens and trash placed near Room Attendants' carts.
