About The Position

RAM Hotels is a dynamic hotel management company seeking a friendly and energetic Houseman to join their team. The Houseman is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of common areas within the hotel, ensuring a positive guest experience, and promoting a professional image of the establishment. This role requires a team player with excellent customer service skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a proactive approach to anticipating guest needs.

Requirements

  • High-school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of six months work-related experience (hospitality or janitorial experience strongly preferred).
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to listen attentively.
  • Physical ability to walk, bend, and stand for long periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Must adhere to grooming and appearance standards in alignment with uniform.
  • Must be dependable.
  • Ability to express compassion while remaining composed.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused while working under pressure.
  • Promote the property by demonstrating a "top-notch" attitude toward guests, including anticipating their needs.
  • Ensure you are always a positive representation of the property.
  • Embrace and respect diversity and multi-cultural environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Previous experience as a housekeeper/room attendant or janitorial services.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning duties in common areas, including the front entrance, lobby, public restrooms, breakfast area, elevators, pool, guest hallways, fitness center, employee break room and bathroom, and meeting rooms.
  • Promote a positive image of the hotel and assist guests with a pleasant and friendly demeanor.
  • Anticipate guest needs to create a stellar guest experience.
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly, and attentive service to guests.
  • Answer guest questions regarding the property, local attractions, and activities.
  • Respond promptly to guest needs and resolve complaints to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Complete all required brand-specific, health, and safety training.
  • Adhere to all property-specific brand standards.
  • Be knowledgeable of fire alarm and evacuation procedures.
  • Clean common areas according to hotel standards and training, including glass doors, floors, shelves, tables, dishes, walls, elevators, pool areas, fitness center, and break rooms.
  • Familiarize yourself with the hotel's lost and found policy and immediately submit any lost or found items to management.
  • Perform other tasks as necessary to meet or exceed guest satisfaction.
