About The Position
The Houseman is responsible for supporting the housekeeping team by maintaining cleanliness in public areas, delivering linens and supplies, assisting with room setups, and ensuring that all areas of the hotel meet cleanliness and presentation standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a housekeeping or janitorial position preferred.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain public areas of the hotel, including hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and meeting rooms.
- Assist housekeepers by delivering linens, towels, and supplies to guest room attendants.
- Remove dirty linen and trash from guest room floors and housekeeping carts.
- Restock housekeeping closets with supplies.
- Assist in setting up or breaking down meeting rooms or event spaces as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Respond to guest requests promptly and courteously.
- Assist with deep cleaning projects and seasonal tasks.
- Follow hotel safety and cleanliness standards at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the housekeeping supervisor or management.
