About The Position

Accountable and responsible for maintaining a safety culture (following all SOP’s, SDS, Policies and Procedures) as set out by El Rio Grande Latin Market. Cleaning tasks include, but are not limited to, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping/moping, cleaning washrooms, closets, windows and mirrors. Clean and sanitize. This is to include and is not limited to sinks, toilets and floors. Maintain a clean and well-organized housekeeping cart which is to be equipped with necessary PPE. Ensure all chemicals are dispensed, used, and stored in compliance with the El Rio Grande Latin Market and Safety Data Sheets program, policies, and procedures. Assist in restocking and maintaining the cleanliness of the housekeeping areas to include the office’s, training, and break room. Attending all safety meetings and participating in El Rio Grande Latin Market emergency response procedures. Additional duties may be assigned by the Store Director or department manager.

Requirements

• 0-1 year housekeeping experience preferably in a grocery store or equivalent.
• Work within a team environment.
• Able to work effectively and efficiently with or without supervision.
• Strong prioritization and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in emergency response procedures.
