About The Position

This is a part-time housekeeping position with a day shift. The primary responsibilities include cleaning resident rooms, restrooms, common areas, and offices. This role requires attention to detail in maintaining a clean and sanitary environment, stocking supplies, and reporting maintenance needs. The position also involves assisting with resident needs if qualified and handling multiple tasks with interruptions.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

  • Must have good physical and mental health. You will fill out an employee health history
  • Must be able to work with little or no supervision
  • Able to work with employees, residents, families, physicians, therapists, and consultants
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks with interruptions
  • Must have a pleasant personality and good telephone skills
  • Lift, carry, and/or transfer -50 pounds
  • Push and/or pull - 225 pounds
  • Stand, squat, stoop, kneel, stretch, climb, bend, and twist
  • Tasks assigned to this position involve potential and/or direct exposure to blood or body fluids

Responsibilities

  • Clean residents’ rooms daily
  • Sweep and mop floors daily
  • Disinfect nightstands, bed rails, over-the-bed tables, trapezes, telephones, remotes, light switches, door handles, call lights, urinal holders, fall mats, over bed light, vents, chairs, window/sills, TV’s, picture frames and shelves and all other high touch areas
  • Hang up and take down cubical curtains
  • Clean restrooms (both public and resident)
  • Clean spas and attended baths
  • Clean storage closets
  • Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, rolls, multifold towels, tissues, hand sanitizer, etc. in all areas as required
  • Weekly dusting
  • Check plants and flowers daily, water if needed
  • Stocking soiled and clean utilities
  • Washing lifts
  • Clean a unit after a resident has expired or discharged
  • Completion of a room change
  • Check spill buckets and cleaners in janitors closets daily; refill if needed
  • Cleaning janitor closet and filling all supplies daily
  • Stocking attends daily
  • Spot clean carpets and chairs
  • Vacuuming carpeted areas
  • Clean dining rooms and/or day rooms after each meal and emptying trash
  • Cleaning and sanitizing dining room and/or day room and pod areas after breakfast and lunch or as needed throughout the day
  • Wash beds every 8 weeks
  • Fill out and submit maintenance requests
  • Report any necessary repairs
  • In all areas; keeping walls, baseboards, and windows clean
  • Answering pages; assisting with residents’ needs if qualified
  • Cleaning offices, charting rooms, med rooms, serenity room, cafeterias, attended baths and pantries
  • Dusting, cleaning fans and washing walls
  • Buffing floors
  • Scrubbing bathroom tiles
  • Transporting furniture during room changes and/or unit cleaning
  • Daily / Weekly / Monthly Charting
  • Cleaning front offices and lobby areas
  • Assist in making beds when needed
