About The Position

Assists in maintaining a clean and safe operating condition of buildings of GLOCK, Inc. and GLOCK owned facilities, which includes company house and company apartment. This role involves a variety of cleaning tasks, ensuring all facilities are well-maintained and adhere to safety standards. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on janitorial methods, materials, supplies, and equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 - 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of Janitorial methods and procedures
  • Knowledge of the materials, supplies and equipment utilized in Janitorial activities.
  • Must have a valid Georgia Driver’s License
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; stoop; kneel; and talk; and hear.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move an average weight of 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor cleaning supplies and paper products, and fill out purchase requests when supplies need to be reordered.
  • Clean facility floors, including mopping or vacuuming restrooms, office areas, break rooms, conference rooms, and training room floors.
  • Strip and wax VCT floors.
  • Sweep sidewalks, wash windows, clean entrance glass doors, and pick up trash around the outside of the building.
  • Empty trash from restrooms, office areas, break rooms, conference rooms, and training rooms.
  • Clean and empty out ashtrays.
  • Clean GLOCK company house and apartment, including cleaning floors, kitchen, making beds, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, washing towels and bed linen, checking refrigerator for outdated food, and removing trash for disposal.
  • Ensure proper care in the use of equipment and supplies.
  • Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
  • Drive a variety of company vehicles such as trucks, golf carts, and SUVs.
  • Follow fire safety procedures and regulations.
  • Ability to work various shifts.
  • Ability to operate floor-cleaning equipment.
