About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitary conditions of various areas within the bakery plant, including offices, restrooms, locker rooms, break rooms, and exterior grounds. The Housekeeping position requires adherence to safety procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards. The role involves using hand tools and chemicals to clean, recording activities, and collaborating with coworkers to ensure efficiency and safety. The position also requires performing inspections, managing supplies, and potentially working overtime to meet production and sanitation schedules.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a production, manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Ability to use hand tools to sweep, scrub, mop and dust.
  • Ability to use mathematical operations of addition and subtraction to track and understand chemical usage.
  • Ability to understand the different types of chemicals and their usage.
  • Ability to perform thorough inspections of assigned areas.
  • Ability to coordinate work activities with coworkers.
  • Ability to exchange information with coworkers for improving efficiency, safety, quality, and operational procedures.
  • Ability to obtain and replace supplies as needed.
  • Ability to use pressured water hoses.
  • Ability to use caustic and acid chemicals.
  • Ability to perform duties with speed and precision.
  • Ability to receive additional training as needed.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with coworkers.

Responsibilities

  • Support company safety procedures with a focus on zero injuries.
  • Actively support the ConAgra Performance System (CPS) and High-Performance Work Systems (HPWS).
  • Follow and comply with all Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
  • Follow all chemical safety protocols and report any non-conformance.
  • Use hand tools to sweep, scrub, mop, and dust offices, restrooms, locker-rooms, break-room and exterior of the building.
  • Record in writing housekeeping activities or any issues pertaining to assignments.
  • Clean and maintain the cleanliness of all wellness areas (break-rooms, locker-rooms, and restroom), offices, non-production hallways, smoke-shack and the exterior grounds.
  • Use mathematical operations of addition and subtraction to track and understand chemical usage.
  • Wear protective clothing/gear when required for safety.
  • Understand the different types of chemicals and their usage.
  • Perform thorough inspection of assigned areas.
  • Ensure the organization of the lab-coats racks and their availability.
  • Troubleshoot and adjust dispensing units.
  • Coordinate work activities with work associates who work on same or different shifts.
  • Exchange information with work associates for improving efficiency, safety, quality, and operational procedures.
  • Obtain and replace supplies as needed.
  • Use pressured water hoses to clean the smoke-shack.
  • Use caustic and acid chemicals to clean restrooms.
  • Perform duties with speed and precision to maintain sanitary conditions.
  • Receive additional training as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required by the Team Leader or Coordinator.
  • Work overtime as required to achieve production, sanitation and maintenance schedules.
  • Interact effectively and professionally with coworkers.
