About The Position

Western State Hospital is seeking a full time Housekeeping Worker to provide a safe, sanitary, and attractive environment for patients, staff, and visitors at Western State Hospital.

Requirements

• General knowledge in cleaning bathrooms, bedrooms, dayrooms, floor finishings, and cleaning/operating housekeeping equipment
• general skills in cleaning bathrooms, bedrooms, dayrooms, floor finishings, and cleaning/operating housekeeping equipment
• read, write, perform basic math calculations, lift heavy objects, prolonged standing, walking on various surfaces, climb ladders, work on knees, and work in various conditions

Nice To Haves

• high school graduate or equivalent
• experience in housekeeping
• valid Virginia Driver's license
• bilingual
• veteran or veteran spouse

Responsibilities

• Ensure bathrooms and shower rooms are cleaned daily
• Ensure all trash removed daily
• Floors are mopped daily
• Walls and ceilings are cleaned as needed
• Dush mop and wet mop floors daily
• Remove trash
• buffing weekly
