About The Position

The Cumberland Plateau Health District is seeking a Housekeeping Worker for the Tazewell County Health Department. This wage (hourly) position involves performing routine custodial and housekeeping services, ensuring the security of the buildings, and following established guidelines for safety, security, and work priority. The role is part-time, with employees limited to an average of 29 hours per week, not exceeding 1500 hours in a 12-month period, and is not eligible for state benefits.

Requirements

• Knowledge of cleaning methods and use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies
• Knowledge of safety practices as related to work
• Skill in the operation of manual power cleaning equipment
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to interact and communicate well with internal and external customers
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of position
